Police in Bexley are appealing for help to identify a man they believe may have been injured in a suspected knife attack in Abbey Wood yesterday afternoon.

Met Police were called at approximately 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 7 to reports of the incident in Eynsham Drive.

Officers attended the scene but the victim and suspects had left prior to their arrival.

They were subsequently informed by witnesses that the victim may have suffered stab injuries to his leg.

Enquiries have been made at a number of hospitals in the area but the victim has not been located.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who recognises the man, who was captured on CCTV, to come forward and speak with them as it is likely that he will require medical attention.

Officers would also appeal to the man to make contact as at this stage of the investigation, he is believed to be a victim and his welfare is the main priority.

There have been no arrests in connection with the original call to police.
