Police are hunting for information regarding "nuisance motorbikes" drivers riding recklessly around Dartford estates, much to the displeasure of concerned residents.

Between 9am on Friday, April 19 and 10.10am on Saturday, April 20, Kent Police received three reports of a black motorbike being poorly ridden in the town.

The first call stated the riders, believed to be young men, were travelling on the vehicle in the Shepherds Lane area at around 9am on April 19.

The front rider was wearing a helmet however two passengers were said to be wearing no protection.

Twenty minutes later, concerns about a nuisance bike travelling in Central Road were received.

It was said two people were riding on it, with one of the passengers concealing their face but not wearing a helmet.

A similar report was received at 10.08am on April 20 which stated three people were travelling on a bike in Cotton Lane, Dartford.

Witnesses have described those involved as being young men, possibly teenagers.

One is said to have been wearing dark clothing while another was wearing a green or grey hoodie.

Inspector Craig West, from Kent Police, said: "Anti-social behaviour is an unacceptable nuisance and we will always seek to take robust action against those involved. This can include prosecution and vehicle seizures.

"We have conducted extensive enquiries to locate the bike, including conducting area searches and reviewing CCTV. At present, we have not identified those involved.

"We are therefore keen to hear from anyone who believes they have seen the bike, either at the times stated or on another date.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 19-0395.

"Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111."
