The daughter of an elderly woman who suffered a broken wrist after being locked out of her home all night has thanked the gentlemen who found her.

Heather, 77, was discovered shivering on the floor near Crofton Infant School early yesterday morning.

Her daughter, Jo Daly, 52, said her mum had been working in the garden when the front door shut behind her.

Heather decided to walk to her daughter’s home in St Paul's Cray from Green Street Green before falling over.

"That’s where she stayed until a lovely man came along the next morning," Jo told News Shopper. "He helped her up and called his partner.

"She managed to remember my address and they brought her to me. It was ten to six in the morning and she was in a poor state bless her and she had blood on her."

Jo added: "She must have been there all night. I was devastated when I saw her, this frail woman who could have been there for hours."

An ambulance was called, and Heather is now recovering in hospital with a broken wrist.

The two heroes who helped the woman returned to the home in St Pauls Cray to see if she was ok, but both Heather and Jo were in the hospital.

They quickly found some cardboard and scribbled a note, which read: "Hi Joanne, Just popped in to see how Heather is.

"Hope all is ok. Best wishes, Yan and Jason (Knights in shining armour – lol)."

Jo said she was "so grateful" for their support and wants to get back in touch to thank them.

"I couldn’t believe they came back," she said. "I really wanna thank them, which I did at the time but I was upset and didn’t think to ask for their number."

She added: "My mum lives on her own and if it wasn’t for these men I don’t know what would have happened."

The family has appealed on social media to help find Yan and Jason, and said any help would be greatly appreciated.
