A 16-year-old boy in Northfleet has been charged with possessing a knife.
The boy, who is from the Chatham area, was detained in All Saints Road, Northfleet, by plain clothed officers at around 6.05pm on Sunday 21 April 2019.
The officers, from the Gravesham Community Policing Team, were on a proactive patrol which was specifically targeting suspected knife carriers and drug dealers.
Following the boy’s detention, a two inch knife is reported to have been seized along with a small quantity of what is suspected to be crack cocaine.
The teenager was charged with possessing a knife blade in a public place and possessing crack cocaine. He has been bailed to attend Medway Youth Court on May 21.
