The new Vue cinema is set to open in Eltham tomorrow and here is everything you need to know.

Work is now complete on the new cinema and restaurant complex on Eltham High Street.

The six screen Vue Cinema and a Nando’s restaurant will open to the public on April 25, 2019 and every film, every day will start at just £6.99 to watch, which is sure to bring in the masses.

Situated in the new development on Eltham High Street, the venue’s six auditoriums will boast 731 standards seats and 126 VIP seats.

To add to the film-going experience, Vue Eltham, which brings the company’s portfolio of venues to 91, will feature a range of premium food and drink facilities.

As well as traditional pick and mix, the offering will include a bar, self-serve Tango Ice Blast Machine, exclusive Avalanche ice-cream, Lavazza coffee and Coca-Cola Freestyle which allows you to fully customise your own drink at the touch of a button.

Liam Bentley, Vue Eltham’s General Manager, commented: “Eltham is one of the major centres in Greater London so we are very excited to be opening on the High Street. We look forward to welcoming customers to enjoy the full Vue experience and introduce them to the very best in big screen entertainment.”

The cinema has provided more than 100 apprenticeship weeks across the construction, supply chain and design, and 60 per cent of the total spend has been spent within 10 miles of the project.

As part of a Council's masterplan for the town centre Eltham has benefited from a major £6.6m improvement scheme, primarily funded by Transport for London, which has made it more attractive for people walking and cycling.

As part of this work pavements have been significantly widened, trees have been planted, benches have been installed and there are now cycle lanes and a 20mph speed limit.
