CHILDREN'S entertainers from Bournemouth and Poole have joined forces to help fundraise to help raise money to support sick and disabled children.

Seven top performers, who are normally in competition with each other and are part of Bournemouth Entertainers Network (BEN), have organised a family concert with all the proceeds from the ticket sales going to the Dorset Children's Foundation.

Patsy Hallmey, co-founder of the charity, said: "We are thrilled that all the proceeds from The Ben Show will benefit our charity and we are so grateful to the entertainers for giving their time and creating a fantastic show that will not only raise money but also put so many smiles on so many faces."

The BEN Show takes place during half term on Thursday May 30 at the Hamworthy Club and will include magic, comedy, juggling, balloon sculpting, dancing and games.

Tickets for the show cost £8 and available from thebengroup.co.uk.

Acts performing include Mr Merlin & Okey Dokey The Dragon, Jamie Jigsaw, Krazy Kev, Philip Dixon (Get Up and Groove), Jules the Entertainer, Jamie Jambo and Richard Welsh (Party Time for Kids).

Mr Merlin said: “We are quite fortunate in Bournemouth to have a small, select group of individuals who are professional entertainers at the top of their game happy to work with what are effectively their business competitors to raise money for a great local charity.

"A lot of hours of preparation, planning and brainstorming have been done to put together a show that the families who come to watch it will, we hope, absolutely love.”
