Kent County Council (KCC) announced the closure of a road in Gravesend following repeated fly-tipping incidents.
KCC said that Walnut Hill Road, near Gravesend, would stay closed from today (April 9) until April 15 latest, to allow its highways team to clear the refuse from fly-tipping in the area.
KCC said: "It will be necessary to close Walnut Hill Road, Northfleet, from April 9 2019 for up to seven days.
"The road will be closed between the junctions of Stony Corner and Downs Road.
"This is to enable removal of Fly tipping, works to be carried out by KCC Highways and Transportation."
KCC prompted residents who rely on the closed section of the road to seek alternative routes, and provided the following link with one such suggested route: http://www.kenttraffic.info/?sid=KCC190409_29&E=563407&N=168920&lyt=incident
