A wanted man was arrested at his home in Dartford yesterday morning after police found him hiding under a bed.

According to a Kent Police spokesman, Reginald Matthews, 54 and of Kirby Road, was arrested shortly before 8:30am on Monday, April 1.

Mr Matthews was wanted for failing to appear at court to face charges of shoplifting, vehicle interference and possession of cannabis.
He appeared before Medway Magistrate's Court via video link the same day and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 4.
