Bexley Council has confirmed that the illegal caravan camp which popped up overnight at the Crook Log Leisure Centre in Bexleyheath
Approximately 17 caravans were seen being pitched on the playing fields at the site after the gates at the leisure centre were breached on Monday night.

A council spokeswoman said that this was the case and the authority was working with police in order have the occupants removed.
The spokeswoman said: "We are aware of this and are working with the local police to resolve the matter.
"Section 61 notices have been served, which means there is a legal requirement for the site to be cleared of all vehicles today."
The same splokeswoman confirmed this morning that the occupants of the camp were vacated at approximately 6:15pm on Tuesday, March 26.
