The family of an 85-year-old woman who had her handbag snatched is pleading for her sentimental possessions to be returned.

Pamela Hann, who has lived in Penge all her life, was shopping in Bromley High Street yesterday when her handbag was nicked from her trolley.

News Shopper:

Her pension money was taken along with her new hearing aid and invaluable family photos.

The photos were of her children and grandchildren including a rare one when the whole family is together.

Her granddaughter, Kerry Lou, 39, told News Shopper her nan was left "devastated".

Pamela had used her purse in Greggs and popped across to the Card Factory before being unable to pay for goods in another shop.

"She had only just taken out her pension money," Kerry, who lives in Biggin Hill, said. "She had to go home and she couldn’t get her lunch, bless her."

Kerry explained her nan, who goes out once a week to shop, is now reluctant to leave her house.

The family is appealing for her photos and hearing aid to be returned.

"My nan lost her husband in her 60s so she has been alone for a long time and all she has is her pension," Kerry said.

"If you could see her face and how upset she was you would show some humanity. She needs some positivity after being aggressively being told to 'watch where she was going' the other day too.

"She just wants her pictures, she doesn't care about the money."

An online fundraiser has been started to get Pamela her pension money back.

The photos include a sentimental one from her 80th birthday party.

If anyone stumbles across the photos, they are asked to get in touch with News Shopper so they can be reunited with Pamela.
