A shocking video shows a confrontation between two men armed with a machete and a baseball bat in broad daylight.

It was a "frantic" afternoon in Brockley yesterday as a man was arrested for alleged firearm offences after people reported seeing a gunman with a machete.

Police were called at around 3pm to Sprules Road but a video was recorded before armed officers arrived.

The video shows a Mercedes and an Audi both parked in the road as two men with weapons attack each other’s cars.

One man is wearing a balaclava and appears to be holding a machete, which is used to strike the Audi car.

The other man, armed with a bat, appears to damage the side mirror of the Mercedes.

One witness told News hopper: "Before the video started recording the guy with a machete ran back and put a gun back in the car.

"He was waving it around and traffic was trying to scurry away."

The video concludes with both men returning to their cars and driving away.

"My friend saw them driving on the other side of Brockley and they were trying to ram each other off the road," the witness added.
