Bus drivers in Thamesmead were forced to suspend two services last night after acts of vandalism caused damage to the vehicles.

According to TFL, the 244 route was taken off the road at approximately 8:15pm while the 380 route followed suit almost an hour later.

A spokeswoman for TFL said: "A number of buses on routes 244 and 380 were damaged last night.

"No drivers or passengers were injured, however as a precaution we suspended the service temporarily while the damaged buses were repaired.

"The services have run as normal from this morning."

It is unknown if any suspects have been identified.
