Three sporting brothers, which comprise two former footballers and an ex-rugby player, were convicted of siphoning off money from their own family’s charity.

Bright, Efe and Stephen Sodje set up the Sodje Sports Foundation (SSF) in 2009 to help provide sporting facilities for young people in Nigeria.

But after the charity held a gala dinner at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester for the SSF and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, raising nearly £11,500, none of the money raised went to the organisations.
