A PUB in Kearsley could be converted to office space if plans are approved.

An application to change the Church Hotel to office space on the ground floor has been submitted to the council.

The pub in Church Road neighbours St Gregory's RC Primary School and has a beer garden.

The plans include knocking down the stables to form a car park with 15 spaces.

It does not propose making any changes to the living quarters on the upper two floors of the building where the licensee lives.

The application was submitted by Steven Johnson from Johnson's Construction Limited in Leigh.

It was received by the council earlier this month.

The outcome will be determined by planning officers in the coming months.
