A woman was rescued from a burning flat in Swanley last night (February 3) by firefighters.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire at a flat in Lullingstone Avenue shortly after 6pm.
The woman was rescued from a ground floor flat and was taken into care by paramedics.
A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a ground floor flat in Lullingstone Avenue, Swanley.
"Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the flat and rescued one person inside.
"Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze which is believed to have started in the kitchen on the stove."
