A former Lewisham cop has been found guilty of gross misconduct after he was accused of "consuming" cocaine while partying with other officers.
A public misconduct hearing heard PC Prashant Sharma was observed to be under the influence of the Class A drug at an off-duty function last September.

Mr Sharma also faced a further allegation he took a photograph of information displayed on a police computer system, and sent it to a colleague, when there was no lawful policing purpose to do so.
This allegation was proven as misconduct.

The misconduct panel found former PC Sharma had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of "discreditable conduct and confidentiality."
The panel ruled he would have been sacked without notice had Mr Sharma still been a serving officer.
