A woman in her 80’s has had her passport, bank card, chequebook and cash stolen when she was targeted in a distraction burglary.

The Dartford woman heard a knock at the door on between 8 and 9pm on January 16 where another woman appeared distressed and asked to use the victim’s toilet.

Once inside the woman asked the victim for a glass of water.

She was given this and then took the glass to the victim’s kitchen before asking to use her telephone to order a taxi.

When the woman had left, the victim, who lives in Herald Walk, noticed that her belongings were missing from the kitchen.

The offender has been described as white, average build, aged 30-35 years old, around 5ft 6ins tall and with a local accent.

She was wearing a green raincoat with the hood up.
