Three cars in Plumstead were set alight following a spate of similar fires in south-east London.

Firefighters were called to Congleton Road at around 10pm last night (January 17) to reports that some cars had been set ablaze.

One woman on Facebook described neighbours having to quickly move their vehicles.

Nobody was injured and the fires were put out by 11pm.

This isn't the first instance of vehicle fires in the area in the last week.

In Bromley on January 16, The Glades Shopping Centre was evacuated after a car fire in the car park.
