A car was pictured engulfed in flames last night as it joined a number of vehicle-related fires which have happened in south-east London this week.
Firefighters responded to reports of a car fire in Lower Road shortly after 7pm last night.

This came just one hour after a car reportedly caught fire within the car park of The Glades Shopping Centre in Bromley, leading to the evacuation of shoppers inside.

According to a spokeswoman from the London Fire Brigade, the incident was swiftly dealt with and nobody was reported as injured.
"We were called to a car alight in Lower Road, Erith, at 7.06pm last night.
"The fire was under control at 7.26pm and there were no reports of any injuries.
"One fire engine from Bexley fire station attended," she said.

It is believed that the police are not investigating this as a suspicious incident.
