The stabbing of a schoolboy on Lewisham High Street is "very concerning", says the Mayor of the borough.
The boy, believed to be 16, was knifed on a bus this morning before being taken to a major trauma centre.
His injuries are not believed to be threatening.
No arrests have been made and the teenagers’ family has been informed.

Mayor of Lewisham, Damien Egan, said: "We are very concerned by the stabbing of a teenager on a bus on Lewisham High Street this morning.
"Our thoughts are with the young victim and his family. I am pleased that the police have reported his condition is not life threatening.
"A police investigation is underway and the council will be liaising closely with police to offer any support we can."
MP for Lewisham Deptford, Vicky Foxcroft, wrote on Twitter: "My thoughts are with the 16-year-old victim of this morning's stabbing on Lewisham High Street. Thankfully his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening."

Police, who were called at 8.30am, have asked anyone who witnessed the stabbing to contact them on 101 quoting the reference 1431/Jan14.
