A man had to be pulled from his car after crashing into two parked cars on the the driveway of a house in Wilmington last night.

Officers from Kent Police, along with Kent Fire & Rescue, were called to a house in Capel Place shortly after 10pm following reports a driver had ploughed through a wood-gated front drive and into the occupants' parked cars.

Fire crews reportedly managed to free the driver through the boot of his car, which was left overturned.

It is understood damage was caused to the home's exterior, which was shored up by emergency services to allow the owners to return to their home for the night.

According to Kent Police, no serious injuries were reported and enquiries into the incident are still ongoing.

Fire crews remained on the scene until shortly after 2am.
