A burst water main left a car park in Lewisham flooded to the depth of 60cm.
The London Fire Brigade sent two fire engines and 10 firefighters to the scene of the incident at the rear of Crescent House, in Bliss Crescent.
A spokesman said the car park is flooded to the depth of 60cm, covering an area of 8,000 sqm.
He added that crews “worked hard to contain the water”, using sandbags to protect affected properties and stop water entering the building.
“Fortunately, Crescent House wasn’t affected by the flooding but access to and from the building was restricted,” he said.
Thames Water confirmed it's aware customers in the SE3, SE8, SE10 and SE10 postal code areas are experiencing issues with their water supplies following the incident.
It said teams are now on site working to repair the problem, at the time of publishing.
The brigade was called shortly before 8pm yesterday (January 13) and the incident was deemed over near to 12.30am.
Crews from Greenwich and Lewisham fire stations were in attendance.
