A festival dedicated to cats is coming to Beckenham later this year.

Catfest 2019 will celebrate all things feline, showcasing cat-related products, books, films, art and live music, along with cat-themed cocktails, vegan street food and even with meet-greets with feline superstars.

The event, in its second year, will be held at Beckenham Place Park on June 29.

For just one day the Palladian style mansion house will be a mecca for cat-lovers.

The anticipated line-up of furry Instagram superstars making an appearance is yet to be announced. We can only pray Grumpy Cat is on the bill.

For now, it has been confirmed author of A Street Cat Named Bob, James Bowen, will be giving a talk.

Animal experts will also be giving lectures to give you a better understanding of the mysterious workings of the moggy mind.

Proceeds from the event will be put towards the Erham Rescue centre and Freshfields Animal Rescue, both charities helping cats in need (unsurprisingly).

Tickets for the event cost £22.15 (including a booking fee) and can be bought from the official CatFest website.
