Detectives in Lewisham are appealing for the public's help tracing a man wanted on recall to prison.

Xavier Lightbourne, 29, of Forest Hill, was released on licence from HMP Highdown on Tuesday August 14.

After he breached the conditions of his licence on Tuesday October 30, an emergency recall to prison was issued.

He is also wanted for GBH and two breaches of a court issued order.

Lightbourne is described as a black male with dark brown eyes and hair, around 5ft 10ins tall and of stocky build. He often has a distinctive black moustache. He also has a 'V' shaped scar on his index finger on his right hand.

Detective Sergeant Sam Bennett, of the Met's South East BCU Safeguarding Unit, said: "We urge anyone who knows of Xavier Lightbourne's whereabouts to get in touch.

"We believe he has links to Lewisham, Greenwich and Lambeth, and would like to remind the public that harbouring a wanted suspect is an offence.

"Anyone who sees Lightbourne should not approach him, but call 999 immediately."

Anyone with information on Lightbourne's whereabouts should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
