Another attempted child abduction in Biggin Hill has been reported to police.

The alarm was first raised in the area on November 26 when an 11-year-old boy was reportedly chased down stairs by a man driving a white van.

His mum told News Shopper it was the "worst nightmare" for any parent and said the chaser eventually gave up after the boy refused a lift.

A similar scare happened yesterday (January 7) when a teenage girl was allegedly approached by a man in a white van in the same area of Jail Lane.

"Police were notified of an attempted abduction," a Met Police spokesman said.

He added the girl refused to get into the van at around 3.30pm before the driver fled the scene.

Her mum, who asked for her warning to be shared online, wrote: "OMG my daughter just come saying a white van stopped on Jail Lane asking her and her friend how was their day at school and would they like to get into his van.

"They shouted no and then ran. Please tell your kids to be careful."

Police said no arrests have been made and asked anyone with information to call 101 quote 4250/07JAN.
