A Woolwich man has been charged following a stabbing yesterday afternoon.
Police were called just after 3.30pm on January 4 to reports of a robbery in Edgware Road, Westminster.
Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a man suffering from a stab injury to his leg.
He also reported that his mobile phone had been stolen during the incident.
The 27-year-old victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was discharged later that evening.
Alhassan Koroma, 25, of Garrick Drive, was arrested and taken to a nearby police station, where he was charged today with GBH and theft of a mobile phone.
Koroma will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later today.
