Children and the elderly in Chislehurst joined forces for a merry Christmas sing song and have raised hundreds of pounds in doing so.

A choir form Red Hill Primary School visited retired homeowners at McCarthy and Stone’s Shepheard’s House for a Sing Your Hear Out event.

Sara James, the sales consultant at Shepheard’s House, said: "Across the McCarthy and Stone South East region, we have donated £500 to Royal Voluntary Service as a result of our Sing Your Heart Out events.

"The team at Shepheard’s House would like to say a big thank you to Red Hill Primary School and to our homeowners and all those who visited the development for our Sing Your Heart Out event.

"Everyone had a fabulously festive afternoon – it was a huge success."

McCarthy and Stone raised £269,000 for Royal Voluntary Service last year to commemorate the company’s 40th anniversary.
