A road in Swanley has been reopened after a driver crashed their car into a lamppost earlier today.
Police closed Bartholomew Way for a couple hours while officers from Kent County Council’s highways team assessed the incident.
Pedestrians and motorists were urged to seek an alternative route following the incident earlier today (December 8).
In a tweet they said: “Bartholomew Way in Swanley is likely to be shut for a couple of hours while we await @KentHighways to make an assessment on the lamp post that was hit and make it safe for members of the public.”
The condition of the driver involved was not made clear.
