Police and fire crews were called to deal a harmful chemical spill in Welling High Street last night (December 6).
Officers from the Met helped fire crews deal with crowds and road closures after they were called to the scene shortly before 4.30pm following reports that harmful cleaning liquid had been spilled in the street.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman told News Shopper that a small amount of liquid had been spilled but that a woman was sent to hospital as a precaution. They then left the scene at 17.42pm.
A spokeswoman for LFB said: "We were called at 3.54pm to Welling High Street, Welling, to reports of an incident.
"We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder in a car to the scene.
"We treated a woman and took her to hospital."
No other injuries were reported.
