All lanes on the A20 Sidcup-By-Pass have been reopened after a vehicle has crashed into a bridge earlier today.

A lorry was transporting a digger claw which hit the bridge and fell from the trailer.

The road had been closed off by emergency services while they attended to the incident.

A spokesman for Kent Police has said: "Kent Police was called at 12.37pm on Wednesday December 5 regarding a report that a lorry had struck a bridge on the Londonbound carriageway of the A20 near Swanley.

"Officers, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Highways officers are at the scene where no injuries have been reported.

This caused delays for commuters coming from the Swanely Interchange.
