Hundreds of Santas ran around Danson Park to raise money for a great cause.

The Santa Dash, run by Greenwich and Bexley Hospice on December 2, saw all the many different Santas run or walk 5k.

This annual festive fundraiser was supported by London College of Performing Arts students who performed festive songs to an eager crowd.

Hilary from PureGym Greenwich warmed up the Dashers before they set off on their 5k dash and everyone received a medal at the end as well as a chocolatey treat provided by Point Of View Glazing Ltd.

The hospice hopes to raise £20,000 following the Santa Dash to help cover the cost of the care it provides to terminally ill patients this Christmas.

Lea Hebblewhite, whose husband and son took part, told News Shopper: "My husband and son took part because they saw it as a fun way to support a fantastic cause and also get a bit of exercise too.

"It was the first time my son had run 5k and he was so pleased with himself! They had a great time."
