A man who poured olive oil on the floor of a train before it had to be evacuated is being sought by police.
The train was terminated at Honor Oak Park station shortly before 9am yesterday (November 25) after the man harassed commuters.
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: "It is believed a man was hassling passengers and then poured what is believed to be olive oil on the floor of the carriage.
"A number of enquiries are being made to understand what happened and who poured the liquid."
Social media reports initially suggested the man "doused himself in petrol" but police have dismissed this.
The train had been travelling into central London.
No arrests have been made and BTP encouraged anyone with information to call 0800 40 50 40 quoting the reference 136 of 25/11/2018.
