Hundreds of sexual assaults have been reported in Bromley this year, and News Shopper can reveal the wards where these crimes were most flagged up to police.

It was an ominous start to the year after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Mottingham.

The girl was attacked by a man who grabbed her arm before touching her inappropriately between Marvels Lane and Lambscroft Avenue on January 13.

A total of 16 sexual assaults were reported to police in Mottingham and Chislehurst North between January and October this year.

All these figures are available on the Met Police Crime Data Dashboard.

Most calls to police regarding sex attacks were in Bromley Town ward where 53 incidents were reported.

So far this year, excluding November, police have investigated 439 sexual assaults in the borough, according to the crime dashboard.

One sex assault in particular hit the headlines after an Atomic Star star took a train form London Bridge to Elmstead Woods in Bromley.

Singer Natasha Hamilton took to social media to say a man “pushed his penis” against her during a traumatising train ride on October 10.

British Transport Police arrested a man who was later released under investigation.
