Two women believed to be involved in an attempted burglary and theft at a shop in Bexleyheath are being sought by police.

The incident happened at Exclusive Lighting on Mayplace Road East on the afternoon of October 3.

Bexley police wrote in a statement: “The two females, who were described as Eastern European, employed a tactic of blocking and distraction to steal from a handbag and then one of the females tried to steal cash from a draw behind the counter whilst the other engaged with the shop owner.”
