A man in his 60s was killed when he was hit by a train on the Bexleyheath line yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Welling station just before 4pm.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead after paramedics reached him.
A spokeswoman from British Transport Police said: "At 3.50pm yesterday (12/11), officers were called to Welling station following reports that a person had been struck by a train.
"Officers attended alongside paramedics, however a man in his 60s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"His family have been informed. This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
The train line was closed after the incident and reopened shortly before 6pm.
