A combat knife has been recovered from a stop and search in Orpington days after four people were killed in quick succession in south London stabbings.
Petts Wood and Knoll police seized the knife in Saltwood Close today (November 9) before making an arrest.
They said the knife was "small but mighty" and used the hashtag #StopKnifeCrime in a social media post.

Youngsters in Bellingham, Anerley, Clapham and Tulse Hill have been stabbed to death in a tragic couple of weeks in south London.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested today after the murder of Ayodeji Habeeb Azeez, 22, who was killed in Samos Road in Anerley on November 4.
Meanwhile, Lewisham police were conducting stop and searches between 1pm and 4pm this afternoon.
This comes after securing a Section 60 in areas of concern like Sydenham, Forest Hill, Perry Vale, Downham, Catford South, Whitefoot and Bellingham.
Section 60 police powers allow officers to search people in areas they believe "serious violence will take place".
