It’s soon going to look a lot like Christmas in Orpington with the high street set to light up.
The annual Christmas lights extravaganza will be on Thursday (November 15) from 4pm-8pm.
A spokesman for Orpington 1st, the town centre business community, said: "Visitors can meet Santa in The Walnuts grotto, say hello to his reindeer, take part in the Elf trail and browse a wide range of food, gift and community stalls.
"All the favourite funfair rides will be in situ and the main stage at the foot of Knoll Rise on the high street will host a fantastic line up of entertainment before the countdown to firework finale."
During the celebrations, the high street will be closed to traffic from Memorial Roundabout to Homefield Rise to pedestrianised the area.
