Traffic is moving very slowly on the Essex side of the M25, due to recovery work following a three-vehicle crash on the Dartford Crossing.
Congestion is piling up to beyond junction 30 of the M25, and travel time is over 60 minutes.
In a tweet published today at 7.03pm, Highways English wrote: “The vehicles involved in the collision have been cleared following a brief stop on traffic.
“All 4 lanes across the bridge are now open and traffic is moving again.
“Long delays remain on the approach to the bridge but they should start easing now all lanes are open.”
