The new director of The Glades says he wants to help take the Bromley shopping centre “to the next level”.

Mark Haynes joined last month and the former centre manager of County Mall in Crawley revealed what new shops will soon open.

He told News Shopper: “Premium retailer, Tessuti and Australian brand, House UK are both set to open, which we’re sure will be incredibly popular with shoppers.

“We have had a fantastic few weeks welcoming new additions to the line-up including Colette by Colette Hayman and Orange Theory Fitness.”

The Glades will also host more pop-up stalls next week including silk scarf retailer, Millie & Boo and salad bar, Freshly Sliced.

Mr Haynes said he was not concerned with crime on Bromley High Street and assured shoppers of how safe The Glades is.

He said: “It remains a safe and secure place for shoppers, with a highly-experienced security team monitoring and patrolling the premises at all times.

“Our car park is very safe and well-lit, and we are proud that this has been acknowledged with a number of safety awards.”

Mr Haynes was named manager of the year last year at the Sceptre Awards.

He said he has always been “very impressed” with The Glades and has been welcomed with open arms.

“I’ve been thoroughly enjoying getting to know everyone here over the past few weeks and the enthusiasm and warm welcome I’ve received has been wonderful."

He added: “We’re on the cusp of an incredible new phase at The Glades and I hope everyone is just as excited about this next part of the journey as we are.”
