A man has been arrested after "assaulting a police officer" in St Mary Cray during a stop and search.
Officers tried to search the 26-year-old on Tuesday (October 30) on Star Lane when a "violent struggle" ensued just before 1.45pm.
He was eventually detained and arrested for obstructing a search, resisting arrest, assaulting a police constable and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

A spokesman for Petts Wood and Knoll Police said the assaulted officer suffered minor hand injuries and did not require medical treatment.
The suspect has been released under investigation.
Police were conducting searches as part of Operation Autumn Nights, a crackdown on anti-social behaviour during Halloween.
