Traffic has been released in both directions of the M25 after it was stopped due to a vehicle collision and a smoking van.
Traffic between junctions 5 and 6 of the M25 was held today (October 18) while debris from a "minor vehicle collision" was cleared to the side, according to Highways England.
Highways England tweeted at 4.33pm on October 18: "#M25 anti-clockwise J6-J5 in #Surrey.
"The van which was smoking earlier has been recovered and cleared from the motorway. Traffic released in all lanes."
A spokesman for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said: "one of our fire engines attended but it looks like it was a false alarm."
