New homes exclusively for the over 55s have officially opened in Swanley.
Four old flat blocks were replaced with 31 homes at Woodlands Court allowing older people to downsize.
The £6.5 million West Kent scheme has been completed and residents have already moved in, including Doreen Harding who is now living in a two-bedroomed home with husband Paul.
She said: "Our daughters had grown up and left home and the house had too many steps for my husband, who is not very mobile.
"We applied for a move to a flat and this place is just unbelievable. It has so much space, a lovely view over Swanley Park and a lift. It’s also modern and low maintenance."
West Kent has also provided communal facilities for over 55s with their "hub and spoke" strategy in White Oak Court.
The 24-hour site has a care team, restaurant and hairdresser for their residents living in Woodlands Court, White Oak Court and Bromley Way.
