The charitable work of local people, community groups and businesses in Croydon will be celebrated at the Mayor's Civic Awards next week.
Teams and individuals who made an outstanding contribution to the community will be recognised at a ceremony on Wednesday 17 October.
A total of 175 nominations were received this year, with 29 finalists vying for 11 awards.
Categories include volunteer of the year, outstanding contribution to foster care, good neighbour and business in the community.
The mayor’s lifetime Contribution Award will be presented on the night to someone who has devoted many years of outstanding service to the local community and made an exceptional contribution to the borough.
Councillor Bernadette Khan, Mayor of Croydon, said: “These awards are a chance to celebrate our community heroes who live and work all across our borough – the volunteers, community groups, local partners and businesses who are dedicated to making Croydon a better place and improving the lives of those who live, work and visit here.
“It is important we recognise them and say thank you for all the work they do.”
