Three men have been charged with conspiracy to murder after a woman died in Woolwich following a suspected arson attack.

Emergency services were called to a fire at a home in Centurion Square at 1.20am on September 6 where the 46-year-old woman was found.

Memunatu Warne, from Sierra Leone, died at the scene and detectives have launched a murder investigation.

A man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s were injured after jumping from the first-floor window. Both have since been discharged.

Kurtis Freeman, 21, of Steyning Grove, Eltham, Matthew John, 19, of Ankerdine Crescent, Shooters Hill, and Martin McArdle, 28, of Dittersham Road, Mottingham, were all charged on Wednesday (October 10).

All three will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.

A man, 22, and a woman, 26, have been bailed to return on a date in November.
