We have bad news for the dads in the room, your child's intelligence actually comes from their mother, so you can't claim responsibility for this one.
Research has shown that despite the gender stereotypes, it is actually the X chromosome that is responsible for carrying 'intelligence', it's science and you can't argue with that.
This all comes from numerous studies conducted by the University of Cambridge that found that a mother's genes go directly to the cerebral cortex, which plays an important role in conciousness.
Of course, this isn't to say that father's are obsolete when it comes to the intelligence of his child, but according to Psychology Spot, intelligence is 40 to 60 per cent hereditary, so the rest has to be environmental.
What we want to know is ... do you think this is true? Where do your child's intelligence come from?
