Loampit Vale is currently closed both ways after reports a 'motorcyclist was knocked off his bike by a small hires van'.
The accident happened from Halesworth Road to Algernon Road and witnesses have told of a motorcyclist coming off his bike earlier this afternoon.
The road has now been closed and the restrictions extended following a collision near the St John's Medical Centre.
Police, ambulance and air ambulance were all on the scene, but the condition of both drivers is not yet know.
An earlier fatal accident on Shooters Hill is also causing traffic issues, so please be aware if you are travelling through Lewisham or Greenwich this evening.
Police have been contacted for comment.
