A man in his 20s suffering a gunshot wound turned up to hospital one hour after blasts were heard in Brockley.

Concerned residents on Turnham Road phoned police after hearing the gunshots at around 7.40pm on Tuesday (September 18) evening.

Firearm officers arrived but no victims were on scene.

Just before 9pm officers were called to a south London hospital after a young man presented himself with a gunshot injury.

A Met spokesman added: "He remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether the incidents are linked. There have been no arrests."
