A Greenwich musician who was writing from a young age has signed a publishing and record deal.

Reece Robertson, 24, has been singing and rapping but never had the means to record any of his material.

At the age of 14, Reece met school friends who owned a bedroom studio on a local estate and the passion grew from there.

Reece told News Shopper: “The ambition to change my life influenced and pushed me the most but if we’re talking musician-wise then melodically a lot of the 80s and 90s music had a big effect."

Reece said his musical influences includes Prince, Oasis, Phil Collins and Mark Morrison, with his style described as a mix of The Streets, Drake and Ed Sheeran.

Reece says his dream is to get a number one album across the globe followed by a sold-out tour where the crowd sing his songs.

He said: “Twelve years of pushing to get an opportunity and now I’ve just been signed as a singer to Disturbing London, the same label as Tinie Tempah and YXNG Bane, with the push of Warner Music, the same label as Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa, and also just been published as a songwriter by Sony ATV.”

The artist has just released his first official single called Lifelong Love, which now has over 350,000 streams on Spotify.

“My friends & family are very supportive, without them I wouldn’t of come this far in life let alone in music," he said.
