A man who was arrested after walking down Sidcup High Street carrying a kitchen knife has been given 150 hours of community service.
Malcolm Mattin, 65, who lives on the High Street was found guilty of possession of a knife on Friday, September 7.
According to police, Mattin was "well known" to officers because of several complaints about his behaviour.
When officers received reports he was walking in public carrying a "large kitchen knife", he was arrested "promptly."
As well as community service, Mattin was given a suspended prison sentence of three months and was ordered to pay £115 in compensation.
