More locker thefts at a swimming pool in Forest Hill have promoted councillors in the area to offer help.
Several social media posts have warned that valuables are being stolen from lockers in Forest Hill Pools on Dartmouth Road and councillors have now taken note.
Councillor Leo Gibbons has offered to write to Fusion, who manage the leisure centre, and has asked people to contact him with concerns.
He also said he visited the operations manager who said they are “taking things very seriously” and will look to improve security.
Councillor Peter Bernards has also said he hopes police have been informed about the spate of thefts.
I’ve popped into the Pools just now and spoke to the Operations Manager. I raised residents’ concerns and they reassured me they are taking things very seriously. Im going to follow this up with the Pools manager to discuss improving security measures and reinforcing the lockers

One man reportedly had his car keys snatched from his locker before his car was taken.
The group We Are SE23 have issued several warnings to those who frequent the pool.
One of them read: “Yes another report of locker theft at Forest Hill Pools today. If you use this facility, I recommend that you do not take any valuables with you until Fusion has tightened u their security to prevent these alarmingly regular thefts.”
News Shopper has contacted Fusion for a right of reply.
